One thing that is common to all homes is flooring. A house may have wood flooring, tiled flooring, laminate flooring, or any other kind of flooring that is preferred.
Flooring is one of the first things a visitor sees on entering a house, so it is important that it looks right; first impressions count. Laminate flooring is perhaps not the cheapest option, but they are arguably the best. Many wood laminate floors look and feels almost perfect. Most manufacturers have adopted an environmentally friendly approach, and most major brands of wood laminate flooring leaves you knowing that the forests are in good hands. Wood flooring usually means hardwood flooring. It can be solid flooring or laminate, and both are extremely hard wearing and durable. Wood flooring has one huge advantage over other kind of flooring; it will always be in style, whatever the fashion. Natural wood flooring has a built in timelessness that never dies.
Real wood vs. laminate floors
The major difference between wood and laminate floors is simple: one is wood while the other is not. The base of a laminate floor is HDF board (High Density Fiber Board), while underneath, a barrier layer stops rising damp and prevents the boards from deforming. The design layer is a photo of wood or tiles that is printed on paper; this is covered (laminated) with a very strong and transparent protective wear layer. Laminates are less expensive than wood floors simply because they are not truly wood floors. However, laminate floors are simple to maintain, and they hold valuable properties such as a resistance to scratching, staining and burning - making them particularly suitable for high traffic areas of any business or home.
Laminate flooring represents the most significant flooring entry in the past twenty-five years.
