Kronospan Switzerland Ltd – a subsidiary of Krono Group Switzerland

Kronospan Switzerland Ltd, whose products carry the brand name KRONOSWISS®, is a subsidiary of Krono Group Switzerland. Krono Group Switzerland is organized as Krono Holdings. We are a family-owned company and one of the most influential market leaders in the manufacturing and finishing of wooden materials.

Kronospan Switzerland Ltd, like every other factory in Krono Group Switzerland, is managed as an independent profit center. The current manufacturing plant was opened in 1966 in Menznau which is located in the verdant, idyllic Lucerne hinterland. This is where wooden materials are produced in line with the Swiss tradition of high quality and sold worldwide.

Kronoswiss Collection:

  1. Swiss Solid Laminate Flooring AC5 - 14.34SF per Box. 1,380mm x 193mm x 12mm, this is a standard 12mm that is roughly four and a half feet long and 7.6" wide.  The is nothing new and can be found in the same decors in 6mm, 7mm and 8mm laminate flooring with the one exception it is an AC5 rated commercial product, making it suitable for shops, hotels and other commercial applications.  However without any particular embossing on the surface and without V-Groove technology is a decade old product - with a thick surface.
  2. Swiss Giant Laminate Flooring V-Grove  AC5 - 14.95SF per Box. This product is just unmanagable lunacy - a 6FT LONG PLANK - SIX FEET, this presents many issues not just for a consumer, shipping will be exceptionally difficult, standar pallets are roughly 4.5SF long, this will increase the shipping cost.  Then their is the pysical installation, very difficult.  Then their is the obvious, lamiante is supposed to resemble hardwood who can get hardwood planks that are 6SF long.  The product is beveled and like the Swiss Solid comes with an AC5 rating - this maybe Kronoswiss's step into the commercial market becuase there cannot be many residential applications.
